Here are a couple of tutorials on getting the right foundation match. Hopefully they help give ideas of narrowing down your foundation match.

This first one has swatches on the upper chest area- you'll see how the wrong undertone shows up more dramatically than the wrong depth of a foundation. If a color looks visibly too yellow, pink, etc then the undertone is not correct. If it just looks to light then it's a matter of depth.

This video is just some helpful hints on foundation matching and a bit of color theory to hopefully lead you in the right direction.
