FOUNDATION CHART AND DESCRIPTIONS-

whats Vely yet peachier? i guess i've to try U2.

i wana try too! guessing that im G2/LG2.

hmmm. *excited*

U2 is super light and almost more yellow than peach. U1 may actually be a good one for you. Because it's lighter, it's not going to be strong yellow. Have you tried Rest in Peach? It is a lighter version of the original Lili which was more peach than the one now. I've had people use it as foundation (and Moosie uses it as a glow LOL)
LG2 is probably similar to what Lili is wearing in a lot of her FOTD. She found G2 need a bit more peach whereas she liked Lili a little "brighter" (more yellow.) That may help you out.
i've tried rest in peach.. doesn't seem to quite cover much. so i should try U1 instead?

i'm afraid that it will be too light. coz vely was just nice. but different undertones.

then i'm probably a G2 or what. i dont have much peach in me i guess. *muddled*

maybe you can help me dayna? i've matches in meow naughty abyssnian, lumiere light med warm, buffd's almond.

*confused*

This is cool! Now I see what you mean by SL being more golden-tan than the brown-khaki colour. But whooaaa, I was dark! Lol. *points at Sue swatch*

Is your Beach shade the DR? Would DR help in balancing my reddish-brown undertones?
Hi Dayna! The foundation chart looks great :) I was wondering why 'Dayna' looks beigy-tan in the photo? From experience I think that would be my shade but looking at the chart alone I would probably have picked Vely (which in real life is too light for me).

I'm still wearing Lure Y9, LaurEss Soft Yellow and Lumiere Luminesse L-M Golden. I don't think my undertones have changed much, still light-med yellow with some olive. Which of your shades would be closest to the ones I mentioned? Will you be launching your glows soon? A fullsize of Violet Vesper is still high on my list :D

Hi Dayna! this is the great chart=D

I got some samples from Vely and I found I'm in between Dayna light and Vely. Dayna light is the closest but I need a bit more yellow and a bit more lighter. but I think I can wear Dayna light(or Vely) by itself. I might take Dayna light and mix with some U2 or U1 or Vely. which one will be good? I have a match in lumiere light golden(cashmere). thanks Dayna :)

[this is good]
The swatches look great! I need to take a break on my ordering madness, I think I'm going to re-devote myself to my Moosie foundation samples and find my perfect shade. I know I'll be wanting the remainder of the BIGGIE Glows. lol
Rest In Peach makes an awesome AOFC and layered with translucent glow...it's perfection, I swear. *justifying my 30 gm e/s* LMAO!!!!!
Ann*-
I'll try working on something for you- you want lighter than DL less yellow than Vely and more peach than DL too, right? A lighter version of Lili but same coverage. Shouldn't be too hard. :-)
I'd say you are G2 also. You seem to have fairly pure yellow undertones.
The swatches are a little darker because of the fixative I used but I figured that would be good to show the nuances and differences. So you really aren't as dark as that swatch.
DR isn't my beach color- Beach is a little lighter. I will post it with the glows because it's a little more sheer than foundation.
Ideally I'd love to have photos of people wearing a shade to help others find their match. I may work on a slightly darker version of DL- which I think will be your match. You seem to have just a slightly darker version of my skin when I am winter white color... golden olive not pure yellow. My Lumiere color was L-Med Golden FF which was ever so slightly lighter than Lumi. version. Dayna and DD are slightly more peach than what you need.
Ann* is requesting a lighter version of DL- I think that would be both your matches.
LOL. I would have never thought to use as AOFC but then again Periwinkle Sky used "Rustic" (e/s) as AOFC and it was gorgeous so I started using it like that too. BE had the same thing happen with bisque. If it works, it works!

don't know if I should sample DL or Dayna...which one do you think would work best for me?

It's so funny, because I didn't realize it was an e/s! LOL!!! It just looked great and of course, I loved it. It doesn't have the glowy sheen of a glow though, so I should probably call it an AOFC. It's just lovely though. I remember Periwinkle's FOTD with Rustic as an AOFC and it did look great on her! I've never tried anything BE other than foundation and veil, but I have tried Mineral Essence Bisque (not sure if it's the *same*), but I could see it used as an AOFC...ME's Bisque is like a soft pinkish beige. Regardless of how your minerals are meant to be used *originally*, Dayna, you just got talent! =P
LOL. Well, I think I was at least 5 times more tanned then compared to my shade now. Ooo, I didn't know Beach was sheerer than the regular foundation. Alright, can't wait to see that! :)

I think your idea of posting real pics with them wearing their foundation match is great - it'll be much easier to give a reference to newbies.
Okay, which do I choose? B2 sounds nearly ideal, though it looks a bit dark.

My old mineral foundation was Aromaleigh 2Y/L, which is half yellow and half beige - great color but scanty coverage. (I have dry skin, so I want to be able to get full coverage without piling on the powder and turning into a chalky, flaky mess.) Peach turns orange on me and olive just makes me look ill.

Dayna, I'm sure you're inundated with orders, but can you help me out? :-) Or any of you other lovely dears on here who are familiar with Dayna's foundation colors.

P.S. Can't wait for the eyeshadow and blush charts!

Keep me in the loop if you ever come out with that shade! :) Photos of people wearing your foundation sounds like a wonderful idea!
Miss NOLA wears B2 for a reference. If it's too dark we can work with it--- it's really the undertones- once that is down, the depth is easy.
For dry skin with good coverage I really recommend trying the damp method! It's pretty good coverage but doesn't look chalky.
Ok so I use Rest in Peach as a concealer? I thought that's what it was all this time? As a matter of fact I'm putting that on my wish list, I'm down to a couple of grains:(
Rest In Peach is kind of like BE's Well-Rested. It has multi-uses. Concealing, brightening the eye area, base eye shadow and even a light low sheen highlight color for brows. Moosie uses it as AOFC. :-P
O boy, I'm so late discovering this post (&blog :p)! First of all just want to say how awesome to see my name on your list :D! I thought Vely was too light for me, but lately it suits me just fine. Perhaps I was using too much last time. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the e/s and blush swatches, I wore Haute Stuff today and I'm in love! I never found a shade like this before, even in my MAC arsenals ;). Truly an originals.
LOL- Haute Stuff is really different. I can't even describe it but am always pleasantly surprised too when I use it.
Don't worry about missing it- I miss lots of blog posts and then finally find them later on. :-P
hmm... wonder what I would use... at present I'm mixing my own SN fdn... 11 white/1ebony/1warmgold... I've got cool undertones... :)
Hi Dayna, I just stumbled upon these lovely swatch of yours and I'm kinda interested on trying out your foundation (yay!). Based on the picture and descriptions, I think I match either LS or G1, but I could be wrong.

I have golden/yellow undertones with medium tan complexion. I wear Tan Liquid foundie on MMBB and Medium Tan in EDM. Do you think my assumption was right?

TIA, dayna : )
Inan-
I think LS, G1 and B2 should definitely produce a match. LS is a peachy golden tan. G1 is strong golden but darker than G2. B2 is a very golden tan color- made for someone who has various ethnic heritage including Asian- which made it difficult to find a "tan" as yellow as what I've done with B2.
omg yay! You're selling~ Now how to pick out the colours. I'm a little behind the curve, not been going online lately. But this is so exciting. Any suggestions as to what to pick? I tend to wear light, pure yellow shades for foundation and I have super oily skin and large pores. Are all your formulations the same?
Formula is the same but seems fairly forgiving- I have very dry skin but have oily skin that use it too. If you are light and pure yellow I believe you'll be Vely shade. It's most yellow of the lighter foundations with G2 being it's darker sister. I also have a setting powder called "Finish Line" that I have in "vellum" shade (pure yellow) that may help with oil issue. I don't use FP because of dry skin.
Oh dear... I am getting confused just reading the descriptions of the foundations. I have no idea what to order;P I am thinking G2 but then maybe I have a hint of olive in me since I take EDM Golden Olive, Lumiere Lt Golden Warm, DW Theia? Can you give me a hand?? ;P
I am thinking PN, Dayna, Dayna Dark, and maybe even G1 may be more suitable. I checked out your blog- and assuming the photos are of your neck with that one necklace and the pedicure feet are yours- I think you need more olive than G2.
LOL! You are good!;) Can I send you a picture of myself for you to check out? I think my face is fairer than my neck though:p
Send photo- I promise not to publish on the internet or anything like that. LOL
I know this question might seem stupid but where can I order samples? I'm so interesting in trying your mmu :)
